(the photographer)
Well, I'm Keisha. I'll be 20 in less than 2
months. I have always lived in a small town in southeast Georgia
and have always liked it that way for the most part. I believe in
and love Jesus, my Lord and Savior. I am blessed in more ways
than one.
I came from two very loving and inspiring parents.
They are
separated now, but that didn't stop them from doing the best job anyone
could do at raising a down-to-earth, loving, giving, and honest country
girl. =) I have one sister, who is about to turn 16. We get
along about 95% of the time which is a great improvement from the many
quarrels and fights we used to start and finish when we were your
typical 6 and 10 year olds. I would like to think we were best
friends now. I love my family very much. We were never a
wealthy family, although I cannot remember a single day that I went
without or didn't have what I needed or even wanted. I was
happy. I hold them close to my heart and as long as it is within
my means, I would do anything for them.
I enjoy doing many things. I love photography with all my
heart. I don't even know how I started doing it, really.
It's just a natural thing for me. I look at it as a way to
express myself; a form of art. I also like to read. Reading
is the window to the world, as they say. I have to agree with
that. A book can take you absolutely anywhere.
I like to draw, although these days I'm not as good as it as I once
was. I like to write, also. I love to just sit sometimes
and write poetry or write down my feelings. It's a way for me to
calm down and evaluate myself. I love animals. I have a big
heart for them and I could never hurt one. If I had the space, I
don't think there would be a single stray animal on the streets of my
town.
I like to spend plenty of time outdoors just soaking in the sun and
nature in complete awe. I am entertained easily. I take
pleasure in the simple things in life and try my best not to take
anything or anyone for granted. I make friends easily, and
sometimes that hurts me, but I love people. I like to spend lots
of time with the people I care about. Some might even call me
"clingy". I'm goofy. I laugh a lot and sometimes too
much. I find humor in all things possible.
I love music. I don't think that I could live without it. I
enjoy nearly anything except slow, sad country and hard-to-understand
rap. I see music as a way to express myself even though I haven't
written a song.
(Oh! My favorotie color is Blue!)
I get along with most everyone because I'm an open-minded person.
What's right for you may not be right for me, but that's life. I
will stand up for what I believe in, though! I don't mean to offend
anyone when I do this. it's just how I am... I'm me.. Keisha...
or LuLu, as I have been called since I was a baby.

Adam, 26, is from a number of
places. He was born in Florida, and after moving around a bit, he
settled in the same town I live in now. He may come off as shy or
arrogant at first, but he's not. You just have to wait and give
him a chance to open up some. He's not much of a talker, but he's
great at listening. Adam is very smart and can manage numbers and
money very well.
He, too, is easily
entertained, or so I think. His favorite thing to do is play
Texas Hold 'Em Poker. I have to admit, he has become very good at
it, too! He enjoys video games, but mostly his Nintendo Wii or
anything Nintendo. He has several game systems, but the Wii is
the best for now.
Adam likes to travel and
see new places. He works for a nuclear company and works outages
at different plants located in different states. Adam has seen
many states so far. They are, to be specific, Alabama,
Conneticuit, Florida, Georgia (of course), Kentucky, Maryland, New
Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Rhode Island, South Carolina,
Tennessee, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
Cars are another interest
of Adam. He likes to drive fast (too fast). He owns a 2000
Mitsubishi Eclipse that he hopes to park and supe up as soon he finds a
bigger vehicle that is as efficient on fuel as the car. (Can you
believe the gas prices?)
Adam is, obviously, a
simple person. He's a very intelligent, loving, giving, honest,
and trusthworthy person.

The story of how we became a
family of three began on February 22, 2004. We met each other for
the first time and fell hopelessly in love. We both knew we
wanted to spend forever together and have a family. Adam and I
married on September 10, 2004 and immediately started trying for a
baby. We knew we wanted to have kids early and spend our lives
loving and raising them. We tried and tried to conceive without
success until October 1st of 2006. We had finally conceived,
however; the pregnancy ended shortly after. We were crushed, but
we picked up and tried again.
We conceived again
and found out we were pregnant on June 21st, 2007 and gave birth
prematurely via cesarean section due to severe pre-eclampsia on
December 22, 2008. (After a three week stay in the hospital
myself) We had our very own 3 lb, 14 1/2 inch long baby
girl. Her name is Addalynn Jolie. She was perfect.
After 5 weeks in the intensive care for her, and harsh recovery for me
(mom), we came home. She has made amazing progress ever since and
is now a perfectly healthy and happy child. She loves to eat, although
she doesn't like her veggies too much. She loves cartoons and
that show called TEC the Tractor that comes on the Baby channel.
She is reaching for toys and attempting to hold her bottle now.
Addalynn even tries to stand up! It's amazing how fast they grow.
She smiles and squeals, but hasnt figured out the art of laughing
yet.
She brings joy
to us all and has brought us all closer as a family.
We are now a
family
of three. We still don't care what happens as long as we have
each other. Our daughter comes first in the family.
Addalynn is our pride and joy. She definitely loves attention and
will smile at almost anything. She has taught us a real life
lessson. We've learned that life can be so easily taken away from
us. We have learned to not take any moment for granted and to
savor each one and live it to the fullest. We've been taught to
let the little things slide, not to stay mad at anyone, to be kind,
have compassion, and to love with all our hearts. The list could
go on and on.
We don't feel like
it's the world against us anymore. Now, it's us against the world.
